*see last year’s what’s on my desk post*
I always like changing things around. Furniture, hair, makeup. I’m a pretty consistent person but I like to make changes here and there. This August, I decided to completely recreate my desk area.
See, my furniture in my bedroom has moved a bit in the past year. Last year, it was this way:
Recently, I’ve really loved retro house styles. I guess it’s not a surprise because I love everything else retro as well! I love the shape and roundness of mid-century style, but unlike my grandmother’s mid-century style, which is earthy colors, I prefer bright, cheery colors and pastels. Hey guys! So back in November, when Jo-Ann’s had their black Friday sale, I bought some adorable vintage patterns. Among them wass this 1940’s suit (Simplicity 8242) that I fell in love with right away. But I had a bit of a dilemma – who was going to make it? My sewing talent is nearly nonexistent, so I certainly couldn’t…so I started looking around for people who I remembered were really good at dressmaking and such. I dug up Victoria, whose blog I’d already followed for quite a while, and guess what? She was willing to make me my suit!
