Muesli is definitely a favorite breakfast item in our house. It has gone from a long, overnight process to a quick stir of a few ingredients. However, it all tastes just about the same, either way. This is the short process recipe and is very easy to make. It is full of protein and enzymes from the yogurt, so it is very healthy for you!
Are you excited for Valentine’s Day? Well, so am I. My manager Luvems and I have something up our sleeves for you-all, and it’s going to be exciting! Here are some ideas for food and decor to tide you over until we announce our secret.
A soft chocolate crinkle cookie with a hint of espresso and tart cherries.
At my last lesson, I promised my violin teacher I would make her cookies. I was brainstorming, visiting my favorite blogs, when I remembered. For Thanksgiving 2014, we had these cookies. These wonderful, chocolaty crinkle cookies with tart cherries and….the best part, the hint of espresso.
Tired of the sugar-sweet cold cereal every morning? I’ve collected ten healthy breakfasts that actually taste delicious and are easy to make! Plus, they’re a great start to the new year!
1. Citrus Cranberry Smoothie
My Muttie presented me with a gift on Thursday. It was Elinor Kilvans’ Donuts cookbook. After looking at all the scrumptious recipes, I naturally started craving donuts. I was able to rope my Aunt Kat into making them with me – or rather, she making them and I taking pictures for a blog post. Great idea, huh? I know. We don’t celebrate Christmas, so we didn’t gorge ourselves on Friday. Therefore, we were able to make delicious donuts with no guilt. Although I should be posting a clean eating post today for you-all, I just couldn’t. There was no way I could wait to post this post. So I apologize for its improper timing. But I believe that once you see these donuts you will want to make them too.
Therefore, enjoy them with a guilty conscience.
Note: I wrote and meant to post this yesterday, but life happened. So you have it today instead.
It’s finally Friday!
I honestly believe that Friday is my favorite day of the work-week. Chores and school get wrapped up for the week and we get to have the next two days off! I’m in charge of making breakfast every day (though recently I’ve been doing a poor job at it ) and we normally have oatmeal, fruit and muffins, smoothies, and French toast. Out of the blue one day I concocted this recipe for eggnog spiced French toast. After making my own eggnog, I thought; why not put the spices in French toast?
