The Crowsons: Forest Costumed Family Portraits | Asheville NC

Every family has something that makes them unique. Well, this one-of-a-kind family has not one, but several things that make it unique. Personally, I’m an authority on the uniqueness of this family – and I might even use a different word – crazy. I should know because I see this family just about every day, and I’ve seen six of these children within just hours of being born. I’ve watched almost every child take his first steps or talk his first word. I’ve held them all and supervised coloring activities. I’ve taken them on walks and played with them. Hendersonville, NC Family Pictures | The Stranges

This lovely family contacted me for family pictures soon after I did the St. Jacques. Karen and her husband are moving out of the area and wanted some photos in places that are close to their hearts, after raising their four children in the area. We had so much fun! They were so low-key and willing to do whatever I asked. We took these pictures at their beautiful colonial home in Hendersonville. It has so many lovely backgrounds, I think I should do all my family sessions there! Continue reading

We faced beautiful low 70’s weather that morning and it was delightful to have cooler weather compared to some of the warm temperatures we’ve had so far.

Asheville, NC Family Portraits | The Mitchells

Jenna had the idea to use a chalkboard sign, and the results turned out adorable. We met up just outside of Asheville at my favorite nature background location – a farm I’ve used for several shoots. (Like Caroline’s!) Unfortunately, the skies were threatening rain the whole time we were shooting – and it had previously poured twice! But, we made it through 45 minutes before it started raining again. It even sprinkled in the middle of the shoot, but we all cheerfully held picnic blankets and lighting reflectors over our heads while waiting for the rain to pass.
