Allison and I have an unusual friendship. We’re best friends, and yet we live over three hundred miles apart. “What’s so unusual about that?” you might ask. That in and of itself is not out of the ordinary; many best friends have had to move away from each other and keep up their friendship long-distance. What makes our friendship unique is that neither of us had to move away: in fact, we became best friends before we had even met each other in real life.
Much is growing on the farm! I love watching all the plants from seedlings and transplants to full-fledged fruit. This year we have so many veggies! Tomatoes, summer squash and zucchini, cabbages, broccoli, onions, watermelons, honeydew, cantaloupe, potatoes, blueberries and cucumbers to name most of them.
I have here the last of flower pictures I did last month! I went back to the orchard at golden hour and took more pictures of the blossoms and they were SO. PRETTY. Our mountain laurels started blooming and so did our daisies…so naturally, I got out with my camera and took pictures. ☺ Aren’t they gorgeous, especially in the lighting? I took the pictures of the daisies in the early morning light and AGH it’s so PRETTY!
Back in April, our apple trees were blooming! The whole orchard was white and pink and oh it was lovely. Unfortunately, our trees are rather small, but I can imagine the effect in ten years or so. April and May are my favorite spring months because everything is blooming and budding and it’s oh so very beautiful!
Hi y’all! I am finally back from my very long hiatus…in fact, it was more like a hibernation. XD The past couple of months have been really busy. My family and I went through a really hard time, but God sustained us with His grace and we are so thankful for our supportive friends and family. Now, summer has arrived on the farm and I am back!
