I know it’s been a while when I load my blog and have to log in again. XD I’m not going to begin this post by apologizing for being gone because basically every post on how to be a better blogger says not to, and even my best friend says the same. Besides, I’ve been blogging for nearly four years and I should know better.
The truth of the matter, folks, is that I’ve been busy. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. I kind of alluded to the fact in one of my last posts. *shrugs* See, before I graduated back in the spring of 2018 I had this false notion that I wouldn’t have anything to do and would be sooooo bored.
Hey you guys! So as you might have noticed, it’s been around 11 days since my last post. Which isn’t too bad, but definitely: it’s been a little while. The reason? LIFE. So I thought I’d write a quick (note: rambling) life update and post some of my recent pics. Enjoy!
A few nights ago, I watched the movie Brigadoon. It’s from the ‘50s. It’s a cinemascope musical, which means fine costumes, elaborately built sets, and lots of music. It’s one of those musicals where it’s almost ridiculous. If you’re a character, you can’t walk down the street without bursting into song about something. I’d seen it before, but having watched it for the second time, I realized there was more to it than what meets the eye.
February went by with a breath; in a blink. Somehow, the month that usually seems to creep by went faster than ever this year. Now it’s March. The other night, I heard crickets. If there’s one thing about winter nights, it’s that they are silent. The crickets chirping; the robins perched on the bare tree branches; the tiny buds on the peach trees and the scent of living, growing things remind me of a sensation that comes but once a year – spring.
Howdy, folks! Well, January is officially over. Thankfully, my month was pretty quiet, but I definitely kept busy! I enjoyed many great books, wrote words, took pictures, and shivered. XD Are you ready to jump into my review?
November, November, WHERE Y’ALL AT? *shades eyes with hand* *looks around* Seriously, though, didn’t I just write October’s wrap-up post? *shakes head*
November was bad jokes and good stuffing. Fall leaves and journaling. Tea and reading. Taking family pictures of my cousins. (Who never look at the camera. In sketchy lighting. It’s okay. They love them.)
Hello, friends! I am super excited because today I’m going to ramble all about some REALLY exciting…
