Hello, my friends! Welcome back to the blog! Today I’m going to be sharing with y’all my top three tips for looking vintage.
A couple of years ago, I was super into the whole 1940s-50s vintage thing! I was so obsessed with it and that was my full-time style! I’ve relaxed into a more casual style now and am wearing clothes that I wouldn’t wear then like maxi dresses and t-shirts, but I’m convinced that I’ll never be able to leave the vintage style completely. Even when I’m wearing something modern I still feel like I look a little vintage! So for those of you who like the retro style as well, here are my tips!
WOOP! Did I surprise you all? Hopefully so! I don’t think any of you would have guessed that I, the self-proclaimed passionate photographer would start yet another business, but HELLOOO, I’M A HOPPE. And Hoppes start businesses. And yeah. So, are you ready for this? My new business is called…
I know it’s been a while when I load my blog and have to log in again. XD I’m not going to begin this post by apologizing for being gone because basically every post on how to be a better blogger says not to, and even my best friend says the same. Besides, I’ve been blogging for nearly four years and I should know better.
The truth of the matter, folks, is that I’ve been busy. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. I kind of alluded to the fact in one of my last posts. *shrugs* See, before I graduated back in the spring of 2018 I had this false notion that I wouldn’t have anything to do and would be sooooo bored.
A few days ago I was out with a friend and we were talking about interior design. My house is very modern and that isn’t at all my style – although you might think it is because my bedroom looks like it. Anyway, I was trying to explain what my style was and ended up giving up. It’s modern farmhouse but also has boho and is just easier if you have pictures. XD Since I’ve been low on blog post ideas and this seems to be a fun lifestyle post to do, I figured I might as well do a little tour of my dream house. 😉 And so without further ado…
Hey you guys! It’s been SO LONG since I’ve done a room tour (in fact, I don’t think I ever did a really official one?) and I’ve changed a lot of things around recently. I thought it would be a fun post to do! I got a bookshelf a few months ago and had the best time styling it – and then I restyled it. XD I hope y’all enjoy getting to see how I’ve changed my room up for summertime! If you want to see what my room has looked like in the past, click here.
Recently I was quite disturbed by an Instagram post by a photographer I respect and admire. This woman, who says she’s a believer, posted something of this nature: “I’m a Christian. I love Jesus. But let’s admit it, I cuss a little. I read questionable romance novels. And I want to shoot your wedding no matter what your relationship is and whatever you identify as.” (Paraphrased.)
Hey guys! I have something a little different for you all today…I’m releasing another short story! This one I wrote in one sitting after being inspired by a picture, and hardly did any editing…some things just happen like that. I love this story. It’s one of the favorites I’ve ever written! Since it’s so short, I’m not going to publish it on Amazon but just post it in my blog post. I hope you all enjoy!
