Yesterday was Thanksgiving and now the Black Friday craze is on! I’ve got exciting news, too – I’m doing a big sale at A Girl and a Cat! *drum roll, please*
In Scrooby, 15th Century England, a small congregation of Pilgrims, led by William Brewster and Parson Richard Clifton worshiped God simply. Without the bishops and such of the Anglican Church, their worship was pure and unyielding. This congregation of Pilgrims was Separatist, meaning that they wanted to be separate from the Anglican Church. They did not believe in the church structure and liturgy. However, worshiping this way was illegal. Therefore, the Separatists fled to Holland. In Holland, though, the Separatists found it hard to adapt, and that their views did not match up with other English-speaking Separatists. Many of them couldn’t find work because of language issues. Also, they worried about the Dutch values impacting their children. They decided to move to America – the New World.
Just for another fun post, I decided to sum up all the snaps I took this week and share them with y’all.
Crafting….got an order on my website for love notes, and they were out of stock. SO, I MADE THEM!
