Y’all probably thought I was never going to break out my fall clothes, didn’t you? Well, I finally have. XD Our weather has gotten colder now, even though it’s still mild during the day, but it is definitely sweater season! So today I’m pulling out some second-hand favorites and putting together a fun dressy casual outfit that could be perfect for church or shopping. Let’s begin!
Last fall I got this herringbone striped maxi skirt, and I love it! The length is perfect, and it’s perfectly flowy and straight at the same time. Maxi skirts, although I love them, drive me nuts sometimes because finding the right tops is rather challenging. So when I ordered some sweaters, I knew they would have to be the right fit and length. If they’re too baggy, they don’t look right at all. If they’re too long, you can’t tuck them in without bulk and a half tuck doesn’t work either. So.
I set out on my quest for the perfect sweater – because it had to ALSO be the right color (sometimes I’m ready to give up on looking good after all the work it takes!). It took quite a while of scrolling through ThredUp, but I FINALLY FOUND ONE. Two, actually, but I’m only showing you one today. 😉 It was olive green, my favorite fall color, and just the right length, and not too boxy – I bought it.
And it came, and I tried it on, and YAAYYY IT WAS PERFECT. (Except the other day I wore it and my mom said she didn’t especially like it, to which I cried “HEELLLLPPP.”) And you know what? The half tuck works perfectly with this skirt! And it looks absolutely LOVELY with the charcoal grey. SCORE.
Then I figured, well, I’ll bet a leather jacket would look really great for when it gets even colder! And sure enough. Perfect outfit. Comfy, warm, and me.
Don’t forget the red lipstick.
Most of these items are second-hand so I’ve got links for similar items.
Are you happy I’m finally posting a fall outfit now? XD What do you think of this outfit?
