A few days ago I was out with a friend and we were talking about interior design. My house is very modern and that isn’t at all my style – although you might think it is because my bedroom looks like it. Anyway, I was trying to explain what my style was and ended up giving up. It’s modern farmhouse but also has boho and is just easier if you have pictures. XD Since I’ve been low on blog post ideas and this seems to be a fun lifestyle post to do, I figured I might as well do a little tour of my dream house. 😉 And so without further ado…
As far as colors and such, I really like whites, light greys, and beiges – complemented by blues, woods, and other cool pastels.
HELP THE BLUE.
Also the lantern light!
The cubbies are SLIGHTLY too rustic for me – I’d probably paint them. But I love this idea.
So even though I’m not big on cooking I LOVE big open kitchen spaces? Anyway, a couple of my absolute favorite things are white subway tile with gray grout and wood beam accents on white ceilings. And farm sinks. I like a combination of these styles.
It’s the blue that made me love the first picture here, but also I adore a fireplace, natural light, and high ceilings.
Elements I really like are white, natural light, and shiplap – handcrafted wood tables with benches, pendant lights, storage for china. Not rugs, though. Who has a rug underneath their dining room table? That’s so impractical!
This is FAR too rustic for me, but I like the idea.
This one is my favorite out of them all, although the table is a bit too heavy for me.
Yes, I’m going to have a library. This one has wayyyy too much wood, but I absolutely love the layout! It would make a great schoolroom as well.
Ahh, finally the master! These first two are my favorites, because of the white and the blue. In the first I’d do the same bedside table, not different ones. It looks lopsided. XD
This one’s a mite too boho, but still. Gotta love the canopy bed. (AND THE LAYERING!)
I like the idea of having a big enough master to have a reading nook. Even though I always read on the bed.
Pretty much the only thing I like about this is the mirror and the shiplap. XD
This one’s better. I like a double sink, greenery, white, big mirrors, and white countertops.
I LOVE the mid-century vibes of the first one as well as the minimalism and NATURAL LIGHT! (Also HA I just realized there was a kid sleeping on the bed in the second picture. XD
So I’m currently rather obsessed with hanging flowers on walls? SERIOUSLY THOUGH.
Pretty much the office is the same as everything else! Light, bright and airy, and well styled.
And that’s just about it, folks! Which of these were your favorites? What is your style like?
