November in Review

November, November, WHERE Y’ALL AT? *shades eyes with hand* *looks around* Seriously, though, didn’t I just write October’s wrap-up post? *shakes head*

November was bad jokes and good stuffing. Fall leaves and journaling. Tea and reading. Taking family pictures of my cousins. (Who never look at the camera. In sketchy lighting. It’s okay. They love them.)

Me: anyone weird drink from my cup?
Mom: it’s just us here…
Me: that’s why I asked.

Me: there are a ton of paper cups, Junior, WHY are you drinking out of a glass?
Jr: it’s my preference to make you work harder.
Me: *does dishes while silently plotting against him*

this is what our great room looked like for Grandma’s party – more pictures here

This month was mainly absorbed with getting ready for my Great Grandma’s 90th birthday party, and then Thanksgiving. Now that both of those are over I’m not sure what to do. Never mind the fact that it’s also slow season.

the EYESS you guys. sparkly.

*buries self in books*

My dad has been redesigning his website (actually, moving it from CODE to WP, 😮) and this month I started working on graphic design stuff for him. Mainly just featured & banner images for his blog posts. It requires a LOT of staring at Photoshop for two hours wondering what button to click next. And hitting a lot of CTRL Z. I manage to average one blog post per hour. Hey, I even got to use Illustrator!

Needless to say, I have a headache every afternoon from scowling at the computer. (Did I mention I’m using computer screens that are side by side vertically?)

Oh yeah, and I WROTE A SHORT STORY. EEEP. It’s about farm life and summer and watermelon and cows and guess what – I’m going to release it next week. Stay tuned, folks!

I also figured out how to make digital clip art from my own art but I’m having problems with pages wrinkling from watercolor. *sighs*

Yeah, November was a pretty good month. We have a lot going on in December, and then of course there’s January.

Not ready for that yet, guys. (Except maybe I am since I’ve already been planning 2019’s reading list??)

(just look at the pictures and ignore this rambly post.)

Ahh sounds like you had a wonderful month! LOL, Photoshop can be sort of annoying (for me especially when they update it and I have to learn everything over again) Yes creating digital clip art is SO FUN – I have #crinklypaperproblems too. (sighs) Sometimes if you use a cool (ish) iron over them they’ll straighten out, but sometimes not.

THIS WAS AN AMAZING, AMUSING POST THAT I MOST ENJOYED. I loved the two quotes from you and Junior at the beginning. :’D Also the photos. Also what does side by side vertically even mean?? It sounds like November was splendid and exciting, and I hope December (which is most definitely not not tomorrow) is even more so.

AWW, I’M GLAD. Hee hee. Welp, he’s got like four screens and instead of being the way screens normally are, they’re on their sides, next to each other. It’s annoying. But he’s setting me up a new computer to use that has a 4k screen! It should be epic. Thanks, my dear!

“Anyone weird drink from my cup?” HAHA MY SISTER ASKS THAT ALL THE TIME AND IT MAKES NO SENSE. Who is going around and drinking out of random cups? XD This post was quite entertaining to read. 😛 The party for your great-grandmother looks absolutely gorgeous! <3 It seems like you had a pretty great month – I loved looking at all of your pretty photos! My November was a blur of school and birthdays and other hectic things that are escaping my mind at the moment. I AM NOT READY FOR DECEMBER EITHER. *time travels back to summer*

Good gracious I enjoyed this post! This post is the type of thing that is soooooo nice to read early (ish) in the morning, sipping a cup of coffee… not too wordy, but not too many pictures! It sounds like you had a marvelous month, Aria, and all of your different celebrations looked SO beautiful. Sorry it’s December, though :/

The photos are gorgeous! AND THE ROOM FOR YOUR GRANDMA’S PARTY O.O Whoever designed that has some serious skillz! How cool that you can do digital clip art now? Do you mind letting me know how, since I tried doing it once and failed miserable. xD
