Unfurling: Book Review

Hello, friends! I am super excited because today I’m going to ramble all about some REALLY exciting…

ALLISON HAS PUBLISHED A BOOK!

And I got to help her edit it, so I’m reviewing it as well. 😉

The past few years, Allison has been writing poetry on her blog and this fall, she decided to make a book of it to give her grandmother for her birthday. I’m so glad she did because I LOVE having her poems in book form! Most of them are new, though, and haven’t been seen on her blog.

Some of my favorites are:

cage-free words
real love
wilted bouquet
goodbye
always be always

What makes it better is that it’s filled with her illustrations, too! They’re so cute and aesthetic and just PERFECT for the book.

I love this book because Allison’s my best friend and I love her illustrations and poetry, but I think anyone who likes aesthetically pleasing books and free verse poems would like it too. (Though I’ll bet that even if someone DIDN’T like free verse poetry they’d still love this book.) It’s just the perfect rainy-day cup-of-coffee book.

I’m not sure EXACTLY how to conduct a review on a book of poems because I’ve never reviewed a poem book before, so I’ll just let you guys look at all the pictures I took and I’ll just say BUY IT BECAUSE AHHH IT’S AMAZING. :)
