Sweet and creamy, yet tangy and delicious. A purrfect combination of orange and vanilla.
Hey y’all! I’m sure you were wondering what happened to my recipes! The answer is that I haven’t really been baking or cooking a lot recently. I’ve been busy! And unfortunately, we had a “mold incident” (cue the scary music) with our blender, so I hadn’t made smoothies for absolutely forever! My mom finally bought a Magic Bullet just a few days ago. I don’t like it as much as the Ninja…don’t think it’s as powerful, but it is a blender and at least I can make smoothies again!
It’s actually pretty handy because you can stick the cup in the blender, and when it’s done, put the ring on the cup and drink out of it. Less dishes!
Sunday morning, I came up with this smoothie. It has just a few ingredients, and tastes creamy, sweet, citrusy, and frosty all in one. I’m always putting orange juice and something like buttermilk or yogurt together. Believe it or not, it actually tastes pretty good! I added a banana, frozen mangoes, and a bit of vanilla extract to vanilla yogurt and orange juice. It’s quite refreshing.
1 cup orange juice
½ cup vanilla yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup frozen mangoes
Combine and blend.
